We had so many card ideas and inspiration for issue 131 of Papercraft Essentials that we wanted to share with you, that they didn't quite fit into the magazine - here we show you some extra ideas to get you crafting tonight!

Marie Jones was back again, but this time she was offering inspiration for home décor wreaths, she even found one or two ways to include wreaths on your cards - here we have a bonus wreath-inspired make. We love this card, it's simple and elegant and would work for so many occasions!

Step by step

1 Print the image onto white cardstock, colour as desired and trim to measure 3½x4¾” and distress the edges. Layer onto panels of pink and lilac cardstock with distressed edges and set aside.

2 Create an 8½x5½” card blank from white cardstock. Distress the edges of an 8x5” panel of digital patterned paper and layer onto a slightly larger distressed panel of green cardstock. Adhere onto the card front.

3 Die-cut two butterfly borders from white cardstock, trim to fit the card front, ink the edges and secure across the top of the card front. Add pearls to the centre of the butterflies.

4 Affix lace trim down the edge of the card front using a hot-glue gun.

5 Print an 8x10” panel of green patterned paper onto white cardstock. Cut a strip to measure 2¾x9” and distress the edges down the long side of the panel. Matt onto a distress panel of lilac cardstock.

6 Affix a piece of lace trim along the centre of the strip, add cheesecloth to the reverse of the panel and overlapping the edges so it will be seen on the card front. Affix the whole strip across the centre of the card front.

7 Print two panels of contrasting patterned paper, trim to measure 3½x5”, distress the edges and layer onto a contrasting coloured cardstock. Affix the image panel in the centre of the card front using 3D foam tape.

8 Cut flowers from white cardstock using the Cricut Explore, cutting the centres of the flowers from a colour that co-ordinates with your design. These flowers can be cut using a manual die-cutting machine and dies, if you prefer you could even hand-cut them!

9 Fold the leaves of the flowers in half to give extra dimension. Secure the flowers onto the card front using 3D foam tape. Add pearl centres and a sequin button to the centres of the flowers as desired.

10 Cut five flourishes from green cardstock and adhere to the card front as shown, trimming as desired.

11 Add the butterfly and dragonfly embellishments, adding more cheesecloth as desired. Pull gently at the cheesecloth to pull apart a little to finish.
