Joanna Sheen launches her first novel
Joanna Sheen, well-known for her award winning craft company and regular appearances on Create and Craft TV, has published her first novel entitled ‘A Sticky End’. Joanna has published over 40 non–fiction books, but this is her first venture into fiction.
Joanna has written the novel jointly with friend and work colleague Julia Wherrell, who is a writer, designer and photographer. The two authors live near each other in the West Country and their novel is based in the fictional village of Swaddlecombe deep in the Devon countryside.
’A Sticky End’ is a light-hearted murder mystery revolving around a character, Victoria West, who has recently inherited her aunt’s cottage and moved to Devon from London,” explains Joanna. “I think there’s quite a bit of both Julia and myself in the novel and it reflects our love of the Devon countryside – and our combined sense of humour!” The title, Joanna adds, is a direct reference to strange goings on at the jam company at the heart of the book.
‘A Sticky End’ is available on Kindle, priced at £3.99 or as a paperback direct from Joanna Sheen Ltd, priced at £6.99.
