Issue 159 of Simply Cards & Papercraft are on sale today – and we just know you’re going to love, love, love this free gift…

The Time for Tea teacup die and stamp set is definitely not to be missed – we fell in love with it as soon as we saw the finished product, and we’re so confident you will love it to.


Simonne Clay was on hand to create stunning all-occasions makes to please any recipient… her cards are definitely our cup of tea! We’ve got her bonus card idea right here for you – she was so inspired, we just couldn’t squeeze them all into the magazine!

You will need

Time for Tea die & stamp set free with issue 159 of Simply Cards & Papercraft

white 11.5cm-square card blank

white & kraft cardstock

gingham patterned paper

Toffee CrunchMemento inkpad

white doily

3D foam pads

natural twine

manual die-cutting machine

circle dies


Simply make

1 Layer a 10cm square of gingham paper onto a slightly larger square of kraft cardstock. Layer onto a 11.5cm square of white cardstock. Wrap natural twine around the panel  twice before securing to the front of a 11.5cm card blank. 

2 Fix a kraft circle die-cut measuring approximately 7cm in diameter in the centre of a white doily. Secure to the centre of the card front using 3D foam pads.

3 Cut out a teacup from floral paper using the teacup die. Before removing it from the die, add tape to the back to secure the die cut pieces in place.

4 Stamp the ‘Just for You’ tag in Toffee Crunch ink onto a piece of white cardstock and cut out. Pierce a hole in the top and thread with natural twine. Tuck the ends of the twine through the top cut line of the tea cup, as shown, and tape to the reverse. Secure the teacup to the card front using 3D foam pads.

black cardstock

white 9x12cm card blank

Pink Paislee Moonstruck 6×6” paper pad & ephemera die-cuts

3D foam pads

hole punch

pink & black baker’s twine

Simply make

1 Create a 5x12cm card blank from patterned paper, cut it into a tag shape and punch a hole in the top.

2 Layer the card front with a co-ordinating paper, leaving a wide border and thread the card with pink baker’s twine.

3 Thread a key topper with black baker’s twine and secure it to the card front using 3D foam pads to finish.
