Creative Stamping 44 sneak peek!

Issue 44 of Creative Stamping hits the shelves on the 1st of June and we’re so excited to show you the free stamps…

The striking Timeless Moments stamp set, features fabulous designs from Sara Davies’s Singature rangerange and we’re so excited to team up with her – this all-occasion stamp set is perfect for creating cards for both men and women. Whether it’s female birthday cards you’re making, or all occasion cards – this is set for you…

As always our DT were so inspired by the stunning stamp set, that they just couldn’t stop stamping. They made so many cards that we just could not fit them all in the magazine. First up, we’ve got Siobhan Fyffe’s fabulous homespun-inspired card, where she’s combined your free stamps with the striking Sweet Nothings collection of papers from First Edition.

1 Cut a piece of white card to 14cm square. Die-cut a white frame using a couple of decorative edged square dies from another piece of white card.

2 Use Perfect Medium to stamp the floral image all over the piece of white cardstock, then apply your Pixie Powders as if they were Mica Powders.

3 Dispense a small amount of each of your chosen colours of Pixie Powder onto your work surface. Using a soft brush, pick up each powder individually and gently apply over the card.

4 Once all of the stamped images are covered in powder, use your soft brush to remove any excess Pixie Powder from the surface. Lightly spritz the panel of card with water and the colours will come to life.

5 Heat-emboss the sentiment and numbers onto a scrap of white cardstock, then pick a different colour to colour them in. Then layer all of the elements on to the card front as shown using 3D foam pads.

Top tip

Pixies are a mix of mica and pigment, so to to activate the pigment you’ll need to add water – adding a light spritz of water will keep the definition of the stamping, but for a looser look, keep spritzing and the powders will keep moving to give a softer, less defined effect

Top tip

Pixies can be quite vibrant when used in most other applications, but this use gives a lovely subtle, more pastel look.

Last, but by no means least, we’ve got a striking gift tag suitable for both the men and women in your life. We love the cool, contemporary colours that Keren has used in this design.

3 Stamp the sentiment onto a little strip of cardstock and position on the left of the tag. Add twine through a small punched hole on the tag to finish.
