Hunkydory Cardmaking Collection sneak peek!

Here’s a sneak peek at the new Hunkydory Cardmaking Collection, which hits the shelves on Thursday!

This issue’s free kit is worth over £50 and includes an 8-in-1 hanging basket die, an A6 shed embossing folder, 16 stamps and 2 exclusive card collections featuring foiled and die-cut toppers! Your 68-page magazine features 82 inspiring designs made using the kit!

Here’s a bonus card by Tracy Evans, showcasing how to use the free kit to create textured effects!

You’ll need

free die, embossing folder, stamp set & A Gardener’s World Card Collection
white cardstock
Broken China Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Paint
Vintage Photo, Broken China & Fired Brick Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Hitch Fasteners
Ranger Foil Tape Sheets
manual die-cutting machine
ink-blending tool or Ranger Cut-N-Dry foam
heat tool

Step by step
1 Score and fold a piece of patterned cardstock in half, trim the edges lightly to neaten, then apply Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges.
2 Emboss the shed onto white cardstock, cut out, paint with a coat of Broken China Distress Paint then dry using a heat tool.
3 Swipe the Vintage Photo Distress Inkpad lightly across the surface of the shed so that the ink highlights and ages the embossed areas. Dry the ink using a heat tool.
4 Cut a slit into the bottom of the card front, cutting around the decorative trim at the bottom so that the shed sits perfectly inside. Adhere the shed to the card front, placing the base of the shed into the slot. Add a Hitch Fastener for the doorknob.
5 Ink the ‘with love’ sign with Jet Black Archival Ink and stamp onto white cardstock. Cut out and add shading with Broken China Distress Ink. Add the sign to the doorknob.
6 Add a piece of Foil Tape Sheet to a piece of white cardstock (this gives the foil added thickness) and die-cut the hanging basket. Add the hanging basket to the shed, adding a small brad at the top.
7 Die-cut flowers from white cardstock and colour in using Fired Brick Distress Ink. Adhere the flowers to the basket.
8 Stamp the sentiment onto the top of the shed using Jet Black Archival Ink and dry using a heat tool. Add an insert inside the card to finish.

Top Tip
If you don’t have any foil in your stash, simply use kitchen foil – it will work just as well!
