Die-cutting Essentials 36 hits the shelves this week

Issue 36 of Die-cutting Essentials is out to buy on Thursday 12th April  – and the FREE gift is an adorable Underwater Friends die worth an amazing £22.99.

The versatile scene-building stamp gives you all you need to create beautiful all-occasion, birthday and anniversary cards – as well as everyday greetings for your loved ones.

The FREE gift is perfect for cards for men and for women. In the new issue, see page 11 Simonne Clay’s bright and beautiful makes – like this one below – or head to page 41 to find inspiration from Sandra Rayner’s stunning makes for men.

The issue also features gorgeous off-the-page projects from Sizzix that will help your big day go with a bang.

We love the cute favour boxes…

Sizzix Thinlits 4PK Heart Box die set

PC & printer

1 Die-cut the sides of the box from Mint cardstock. Die-cut the top and base from white cardstock and use the heart pattern die to add detail, adhering a piece of pink cardstock trimmed to size below the die-cut hearts.

2 Use a PC and printer to print out the names of the guests onto an A4 sheet of Mint cardstock.

3 Use the tag die to strategically crop the name of the recipient and die-cut tags from pink cardstock and gold glitter card.

4 Trim the glitter tag to size and attach to the Mint tag.

5 Use a length of white baker’s twine to attach the tags to the assembled box.

If you’re keen to make the most of different die-cutting techniques this month,  Christine Smith’s masterclass is just for you. She’s giving you a step-by-step guide to embossing different materials.

This is the perfect time to let you know that issue 37 goes on sale 5th May, which comes complete with a fabulous Radiant Butterflies die set offering so many gorgeous opportunities for projects that you will love.

Please keep sharing your ideas and crafty skills with me and the team at Die-Cutting Essentials – we love seeing what you’re up to and if we print your project in the magazine you’re in line for a free gift!

Happy die-cutting!
