Creative Stamping 56 goes on sale next week!

This month’s issue of Creative Stamping hits the shops on 19th April, why not treat yourself to this brand-new issue, where we’ve teamed up with Joanna Sheen to bring you your amazing free stamp set!

Creative Stamping 56 goes on sale on 19th April, and in this issue we’re bringing you the fabulous A Good Sport stamp set, complete with amazing designs from Joanna Sheen. We’ve had so many requests for a sports-themed stamp plate so we’ve put together this massive 55-stamp set for you to create cards for male, female and children’s birthdays, celebrations, and special occasions.

As well as Joanna’s cricketer and bowler, our incredibly sporty art designer Sarah has included tennis, badminton, basketball, hockey, darts, table tennis, bowling, cycling, weights, running and fitness…We’re exhausted just thinking about it! We love Joanna’s cricketer and bowler dies which complement the stamps so perfectly, so we have a reader offer too for you can get your hands on them at a reduced price. Details are inside the magazine!

If that’s not enough to get you running to the shops, this month there is a BONUS Aladine IZINK inkpad with every magazine, in Emerald Green, just the colour for sporting backgrounds…we show you how to use your free gift in the magazine.

Our fabulous Design Team has been hard at work to bring you inspiring projects using your free stamp set, plus you’ll see a selection of brand-new releases from your favourite stamping brands, including designs from Crafter’s Companion, My Favorite Things and Stampendous!

In this issue, Sue Hughes creates action-packed kinetic cards using the free stamps – check out her feature on page 46 of the magazine. We love her pop-up box card with tennis balls and shuttlecocks flying everywhere, it’s a real sporting explosion!

Sally Holmes has created a stunning set of cards for women in our Stretch your Stamps feature, perfect for the gym bunnies in our lives. Sally’s step-by-step guide to inky backgrounds shows how easy it is to re-create her designs. We have one more of her cards to share here, to inspire you.

white, turquoise & green cardstock

Peacock Feathers Ranger Tim Holtz Distress ink

Tonic Studios Nuvo Crystal drops

3D foam pads

1 Halve a piece of white A4 cardstock, creating a card blank and a smaller matt. Mount the matt into a turquoise panel, then attach that to the card front.

2 On the white mat randomly stamp ‘special delivery’ from the Happy Mail set over the front using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder.

2 Blend Peacock Feathers over this panel and then wipe the words to make them white again.

3 Create a stencil from the trellis die, then place it over the panel and add more ink, making the colour deeper.

4 Layer onto the turquoise cardstock and then onto the card blank.

5 Stamp the sentiment in Peacock Feathers and clear-emboss, then die-cut with the box set die. Add 3D foam pads to the back.

6 Blend Peacock Feathers ink onto white cardstock and spritz with water to give a mottled effect.

7 Die-cut the flowers, then affix together and shape the petals with a ball tool. Attach a brad in the centre of the flower.

8 Add the sentiment to the card front and arrange the flower and the leaf stems cut from green cardstock around it.

9 Dot with Nuvo Crystal Drops to finish, then create the envelope to match with the Happy Mail Stamp set.
