22nd May 2018

Die-cutting Essentials Issue 38 sneak peek!

Issue 38 of Die-cutting Essentials is out to buy this week – and your AMAZING  gift is an absolutely gorgeous two-piece Pretty Quick Stained-Glass Peacock die set.

The exclusive, quality set is perfect for all of your makes – and we’re even offering a BONUS digital sentiment download for the perfect words to match your makes.

The FREE gift features on page 11 in Claire Rhodes-Brandon’s stunning cover cards – like this one below – and also in Sue Hughes’ beautiful technique showcase of projects on page 72.

The issue also features some really inventive off-the-page projects from First Edition that we’re keen to get into our own homes.

We love the Hanging Hearts decoration…

white wicker hanging hearts

First Edition Beyond the Shore 12×12” paper pad

Simply Creative Sugar Rush patterned paper

Dovecraft Couture du Jour adhesive pearls

Dovecraft Nature’s Grace Paper Flowers

3D foam pads

First Edition Nesting Blooms dies

1 Die-cut a selection of blooms in the three smallest sizes from pink and purple patterned paper.

2 Layer up the flowers using 3D foam pads and top with adhesive pearls.

3 Affix the blooms to the hearts, placing more on the larger heart and fewer on the smaller hearts.

4 Place the paper flowers in the gaps and add die-cut leaves to finish.

Christine Smith’s masterclass on tri-fold cards is so effective, and she gives you a step-by-step guide to help you do it yourself at home.

This is the perfect time to let you know that issue 39 goes on sale on 21st June, and comes complete with a stunning 12-piece Summertime Scenes die set that’s got such amazing versatility we’re struggling to fit it all in!

Please keep sharing your ideas and crafty skills with me and the team at Die-Cutting Essentials – we love seeing what you’re up to and if we print your project in the magazine you’re in line for a free gift!

Happy die-cutting!
