Die-cutting Essentials Special Edition 8 bonus Christmas project

The new Die-cutting Essentials Special Edition is on shelves this month, and you’ll absolutely love what’s in store.

The Around the World theme means it comes with an eight-piece globe and banner die set, a 28-piece stamp set which includes florals and sentiments, 28 patterned papers and 82 toppers.

The Special Edition 8 magazine is 68 pages and it’s simply bursting with all of the die-cutting inspiration you need to make the most of our mega kit.

One of our favourite makes is a website exclusive – this Christmas card from Nicky Gilburt is divine and perfect for December!

Here’s all you need to know…

SIMPLY MAKE

1 Emboss the folder across the top of the card front, right up to the central fold. Cover the bottom section of the card front with patterned paper and round the corners.

2 Layer a 1.5cm strip of white cardstock onto ruby red and attach over the join.

3 Stamp the world onto white cardstock using VersaMark ink and heat-emboss in silver. Die-cut using the circle die and cut and stack four stands. Coat with VersaMark ink and heat-emboss in silver adding a second and third layer of powder for a shiny finish.

4 Dip the world image into Tumbled Glass ink sprayed with water and dry, then mount onto 3D foam. Stamp and die-cut the Peace on Earth sentiment onto inked cardstock and adhere across the central strip.

5 Use the Distress Oxide Ink to colour white cardstock and die-cut a selection of flowers and foliage.

Adhere these in position, using the globe and stand as a guide (not stuck down) then once complete, affix the globe in position.

6 Add Nuvo Drops to the flowers and foliage to finish.

What a perfect make!

The whole box kit is out to buy on December 13th – and if you’re keen on new techniques, you’ll love the foolproof method for heat embossing that’ll add so much to your projects.
