kit stencil & stamp set
white 4½x6½” tent-fold card blank
Spun Sugar, Dusty Concord & Chipped Sapphire Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Paint
Wilted Violet Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink
Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink
silver gel pen
non-stick craft sheet
Step by step
1 Cut a 4×6” piece of white cardstock. Add a small amount of Spun Sugar Distress Paint to a non-stick craft sheet, then roll the brayer through the paint then lightly brayer the paint onto the cardstock. Repeat with Dusty Concord Distress Paint.
2 Whilst the paint is still wet, place the stencil onto the painted background then wipe over the stencil with a baby wipe – this will remove some of the paint from the open areas in the stencil and leave a ghost print in the background. Dry using a heat tool.
3 Add a small amount of Chipped Sapphire Distress Paint to a non-stick craft sheet, lightly roll the brayer through the paint then roll the brayer over a piece of white cardstock. Dry using a heat tool.
4 Stamp six flowers onto the brayered background, cut out and silver gel pen to the markings on the flowers. Layer together in two sets of three, bending the petals.
5 Using twine and a needle, add two stitched lines to the background to act as stems for the flowers, then secure the flowers to the card front.
6 Stamp a sentiment onto white cardstock, cut out, ink the edges with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink then affix. Add a bead to the centre of each flower.
7 Add a small amount of Spun Sugar Distress Paint to a non-stick craft sheet, dip a wet paintbrush into the paint then lightly flick the paint across the card. Dry using a heat tool then stick the panel to the card front.
Apply the paint layers thinly, adding several layers to give depth to your design. Make sure the paint is wet for the technique to work
