BONUS Crafter’s Companion card from Die-cutting Essentials

If you’ve picked up your copy of Die-cutting Essentials issue 56, we guarantee you’ll have fallen in love with so many of the projects inside.

Our fabulous Design Team has outdone themselves with inspiration, from Sue Hughes’s Christmas makes using the Simply Made Crafts Festive Foliage die set which feature on the cover to the beautiful Crafter’s Companion Gemini Mandala makes for women.

But wait…  the magazine isn’t all we have to offer! There’s a super special extra card from Crafter’s Companion that you’ll have to get your hands on.

Here’s the how-to for the Cosmic Happy Birthday card.

MATERIALS

white DL card blank

purple & black cardstock

Gold Luxury card

Translucent Clear Spectrum Noir watermark inkpad

brush pen

gold embossing powder

Crushed Velvet & Fuchsia Harmony water-reactive inkpads

purple satin ribbon

Gemini Mandala Cosmic stamp & die sets

sentiment die

SIMPLY MAKE

1 Trim a purple matt for the card front then stamp the Cosmic image on it and heat emboss. Repeat the stamping and embossing process until the desired design is achieved.

2 Using the water-reactive inkpads and a brush pen, colour in the mandala images, then trim a short ribbon, tie it around a longer length, wrap that around the card front and secure on the reverse as shown.

3 Matt and layer the topper onto gold card, black cardstock and finally onto the card front. Die-cut the sentiment from pearl gold card and add it onto the card front to finish.

We hope you love this make – and the rest of the inspiration in issue 56, on sale now.

Don’t forget issue 57 is out on September 26th – with a stunning – and exclusive – Memory Box one-cut panel die that you’re going to love.

Happy die-cutting!
