Creative Stamping 80 sneak peek
Hello and happy new year! Issue 80 of Creative Stamping hits the shops on 2nd January and what better way to see in the new year in style, than with this elegant Art Nouveau stamp set, featuring designs from our US friends, Hot Off The Press. There is so much inspiration in this issue and we are in love with the stylish images!
Our beautiful 38-piece stamping set will inspire you to make all kinds of creative projects
In the magazine we have inspiration for traditional and contemporary cards, masculine makes and jewellery too. We share plenty of stamping techniques including heat embossing, paper piecing, ink-blending and much more, plus some fancy folding too!
Talking of fancy folds, if you wish to recreate Sarah’s project on page 11, use this template for a stepper card:
We have a couple of cards we couldn’t fit in the magazine to share with you now. Firstly, Debbie Simpson’s Clean and simple feature showcases the stamps in a modern way, and we love this card featuring the car.
You’re a classic
Art Nouveau stamp set
white 14.5cm-square card blank
white stamping cardstock
My Favorite Things Sweet Celebration 6×6” paper pad
Fossilized Amber Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink
Tuxedo Black Memento inkpad
How to create
1 Affix a 10×14.5cm piece of striped paper down the centre of the card blank.
2 Stamp the car on a 12.5x10cm piece of stamping cardstock. Colour in and stamp the sentiment to the top-left corner.
3 Blend Fossilized Amber ink round the edges then affix to polkadot paper leaving a narrow border.
4 Adhere the panel to the centre of the card front and finish with pearls.
We have a fabulous feature from Hunkydory, showcasing the new Stamping Press with the Stamp ‘N’ Twist stamps. Here’s an extra card from the Design Team showing just how good it is:
white 4×6” card blank
For The Love Of Stamps Ray of Light & Full Bloom Stamp ‘N’ Twist stamps
Purple Velvet Prism inkpad
Hunkydory Stamping Press
Moonstone Scalloped & Straight Edged Circle nesting dies
manual die-cutting machine
How to create
1 Die-cut a circle from masking paper, big enough to cover the cover the sentiment.
2 Add the mask to the centre of a 6” square of cardstock, then stamp the image, following the instructions on the pack and the Step-by-step guide on page 50.
3 Remove the mask and using the largest circle die, die cut a circle from the stamped image.
4 Trim one edge of the die cut circle to fit against the edge of the card blank.
5 Stamp a sentiment in to the previously masked area, and affix the panel to the card blank..
Do not discard the aperture frame created when die cutting the circle, this is perfect to use on another card project!
