The Chloe’s Creative Cards Premium Magazine is available now!

The latest Chloe’s Creative Cards Premium Magazine is available to buy now! This issue is filled with all-occasion makes and comes with three dies, 14 image & sentiment stamp set, an A6 floral embossing folder and co-ordinating stencil, plus a 32-page paper & topper pack!

Our Design Team made so many beautiful cards for this issue – it was impossible to fit them all into the magazine! So here is a bonus card that shows off how to use the stencil!

Busy bee by Jo Rice

You’ll need
kit stamp set, stencil & paper pack
white 7”-square card blank
white stamping cardstock
black cardstock
Graphite Black Tsukineko Brilliance Dew Drop inkpad
Fossilized Amber & Spiced Marmalade Ranger Tim Holts Distress Oxide Ink
blending pads
colouring pencils
white Posca pen  water spritzer

Step by step

  1. Cut the white cardstock to size and blend the ink onto it. Starting off with the Fossilized Amber and then add the Spiced Marmalade around the edges. Place the stencil over the top and then spritz with water. Carefully remove the stencil and leave the background to dry.
  2. As it dries the water will faux bleach the honeycomb pattern onto the card.
  3. Once dry, stamp the flowers using black ink and colour with the pencils. Matt onto black cardstock, a paper from the pack, blackstock card again and then onto the card blank.
  4. On separate card stamp the bee, add some colour and cut-out. Attach it to the card front. To finish off add some random splats using the white Posca pen.

Top tip: Faux bleaching, also known as ghosting, is a great way to create a background. This can be achieved by adding water to a stamp and faux bleaching the stamp design. It shows up more when a darker colour of ink is used!
