The Hunkydory premium magazine bonus projects

The new Hunkydory premium magazine is out now! With a sentiment die, 2-in-1 embossing folder, 7 stamps and two foiled card collections with die-cut toppers, there is so much to get you crafting straight away!

With 82 projects filling the pages of your 68-page magazine, there was just no room to fit in all of the wonderful projects created by the design team, so here are all of the bonus designs that we couldn’t make room for inside the magazine!

Gnome Christmas love – Barbara Bound

You’ll need
Winter Gnomes card collection
white A5 card blank
silver Mirri card
3D foam pads
3D foam tape

Step by step

  1. Trim a piece of silver mirror to 8×5¾” and a patterned piece of cardstock to 7¾x5½”. Matt and layer these onto the card front.
  2. Separate the outer frame from the topper and rotate 45 degrees and affix using 3D foam tape.
  3. Attach the topper using 3D foam pads and a sentiment using 3D foam tape.
  4. Add a matching insert to the inside, to finish.

Ribboned gnomes – Barbara Bound

You’ll need
Winter Gnomes card collection
white A5 card blank
silver mirror card
red ribbon
3D foam pads

Step by step

  1. Trim a piece of mirror card to 8¼x5¾ and a patterned piece of cardstock to 8×5½”.
  2. Wind ribbon three times around the patterned cardstock and secure at the back. Matt and layer these onto the card front.
  3. Attach the toppers and sentiments using 3D foam pads.

Trees for you – Barbara Bound

You’ll need
Christmas Past card collection
white 7”-square card blank
gold mirror card
3D foam pads
3D foam tape

Step by step

  1. Trim a patterned piece of cardstock to 6⅞” square, mat and layer this with 7” square of gold mirror card. From remaining patterned cardstock, trim the blue corner and adhere this to the top-right of the card front.
  2. Separate the frames and attach the larger frame using 3D foam tape. Affix the smaller frame flat to the card front and the topper and sentiment using 3D foam pads.
  3. Attach a matching insert to the inside to finish.

Gift tag – Andrea Gourley

You’ll need
Winter Gnomes card collection
circle punch
corner rounder punch
string
3D foam pads

Step by step

  1. Taking the off-cut of cardstock from the Snow gnome card, round the top corners using the corner punch.
  2. Attach the small circle with the star from the topper sheet, towards the top of the tag. Punch a hole through the centre using the circle punch and attach the string.
  3. Affix the gnome and sentiment on the main part of the tag using 3D foam pads.

Sitting fun – Andrea Gourley

You’ll need
Winter Gnomes card collection
white 5”-square card blank
3D foam pads

Step by step

  1. Cut 4¾” square of red patterned cardstock from the card collection and adhere onto the card front.
  2. Separate the gnome and the frames from the topper sheet, as well as a sentiment.
  3. Remove the frames from around the gnome and attach the largest frame and image onto the card front using 3D foam pads.
  4. Attach the sentiment to the bottom-left of the topper using 3D foam pads.

You’ll need

Step by step

  1. Create 5” square card blank by scoring and folding a 5×10” piece of blue cardstock in half.
  2. Cut 4¾” square piece of white cardstock and stamp the wreath image onto it, then stamp the flowers onto a scrap piece white cardstock. Colour the main image and the extra flowers with your alcohol markers.
  3. Use the coordinating aperture die to cut the centre from the wreath, then use this as a guide to stamp and heat-emboss the sentiment in white in the centre of the aperture on the card front. Add the wreath to the card front using 3D foam pads and then add the extra flowers also using 3D pads.

Top tip: Using non-traditional colours can give a different look to your seasonal cards
