Crafting with Friends stamp set & embossing folder
white 5×7” card blank
turquoise & white cardstock
Mermaid Lagoon Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Soot & Mermaid Lagoon Ranger Tim Holtz Archival Ink
3D foam pads
stitched circle nesting dies
manual die cutting machine
How to create
1 Cut turquoise cardstock slightly smaller than the embossing folder, then place inside and run through the die-cutting machine using the appropriate sandwich. Once embossed, lightly distress the raised words using sandpaper or an emery board.
2 Die-cut a circle from stamping cardstock large enough to fit the mug then stamp the mug and the words into the centre of the circle using Black Soot ink. Press some Mermaid Lagoon ink onto a craft mat and paint the mug using a water brush.
3 Stamp splatters round the edges using the remaining ink on your craft mat then add some more defined splats using Mermaid Lagoon ink, then set aside to dry.
4 Cut two strips of vellum and stamp the sentiments onto them, then trim the ends into a point, fold the strips around the edges of the embossed card and adhere at the back
5 Adhere the now dry circle using 3D foam pads so that it is slightly off centre, trapping the vellum strips under the edge of the shape.
Create depth using the same ink colour by allowing it to dry then adding more ink around the edges
