Creative Stamping 96 sneak peek

Get summer-ready with this month’s 84-page issue of Creative Stamping, on sale from 27th May. Packed with tips, tricks, ideas and inspiration, you’ll find 27 inspiring makes using your 35-piece Summer Escapes stamps, featuring delightful designs from Crafty Individuals. You’ll also find the latest releases from Sentimentally Yours, Hobby Art and Dolly Dimples amongst others.

This issue’s beautiful stamp set has additional designs from Crafty Individuals to complement our nostalgic summer theme.

Our designers loved creating cards and memories using the stamps, and we liked how Sarah Jackman Read used the frames images to make cards – then took the idea of frames and created whole new scenes with them. This set really is versatile!

We have one bonus card to share with you, and it’s absolutely gorgeous, with a brilliant stencilling idea, in fact we loved all of Teresa Morgan’s stencil-stretching makes.

Picnic Memories

Materials

green 5×7” card blank

lime green, Coral & white cardstock

Lavinia Stamps Foliage stencil

Speckled Egg  & Mermaid Lagoon Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink

Nocturne & Shady Lane VersaFine Clair inkpads

Arteza Real Brush pens

pearls

ink-blending tool

black fine-line pen

circle nesting dies

manual die-cutting machine

How to create

1 Cut a 7×5” piece of lime green cardstock and emboss with the stencil using the die-cutting machine. Keeping the stencil in place, blend the Distress Ink through the stencil using an ink-blending tool. Remove the stencil and trim to 4½x6½”.

2 Make a 7×5” card blank from olive green cardstock and matt a piece of coral cardstock on the front. Attach the embossed panel on top using 3D foam pads.

3 Stamp the picnic elements, masking as you go, to create a nice group of images. Colour with brush pens and die-cut using a circle die. Cut a larger Coral circle and attach to the card front with 3D foam.

4 Stamp the sentiment using Shady Lane ink and trim. Attach with 3D foam pads and finish with pearls.

Top tip

When using a masking technique to group images, stamp the items you want to be in front first, ending with items you want to be at the back.
